Emma Roberts Posts Cryptic Instagram Photo Amid Evan Peters Breakup, Promotes ‘Scream Queens’ Season 2

Sad news for Emma Roberts and Evan Peters: The couple supposedly broke up before the Season 2 premiere of “Scream Queens” Tuesday, Us Weekly wrote in an exclusive report. It’s the second time the tumultuous couple called it quits. The split was amicable, Us Weekly added.

Roberts, 25, took to Instagram and Twitter to share a picture of herself with “Scream Queens” co-star Lea Michele. When the former “Glee” actress said she loved Roberts in a black-in-white photo, the star shared the same photo and wrote a similar caption.

Roberts and Peters, 29, have a rocky past. The passionate stars were inseparable and caused chaos on the set of “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” which meant they were either fighting or kissing. “Emma and Evan are making out — that is, if they’re not screaming at each other,” an insider told OK! magazine in 2014.

Their second split comes nearly a year after their first. “Their three years together just ran its course,” an insider told Just Jared at the time. “They have so many great memories together but couldn’t make it work in the end. The breakup was amicable — there was no drama whatsoever.”

Roberts, the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece of Julia Roberts, has a history of domestic violence. She was arrested in 2013 for a domestic violence incident, leaving her then-boyfriend with a bite mark and bloody nose, an anonymous person told TMZ at the time. Charges were never filed.

Neither Roberts nor Evans responded to the reported breakup on social media. Instead, the actress promoted the Season 2 premiere of her Fox show. A specific airdate was not given, but new episodes will appear in the fall. “And we’re back,” she captioned a picture of the cast.

“Scream Queens” will air Tuesdays on Fox in the fall at 9 p.m. ET.
