Stars and celebrities lined the red carpet for the 2011 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
While many stars blended in with the red carpet, literally, others shined with sophisticated dresses and couture.
Most notably, Glee's Lea Michele, wearing a red Marchesa dress, told E! Online that she spent hours modeling it in front of a mirror leading up to the show.
Gwyneth Paltrow wore a black-sequin dress with a belly bearing midriff, which she admits she had no idea was see-through until the blinking lights of paparazzi shone on her.
Sarah Hyland spent weeks with Christian Siriano who made her one-shoulder coral gown.
Christina Hendricks told the Associated Press she chose the first dress she tried on, an open V-neck Johanna Johannsson. It was the only dress, she said. I tried it on and it was perfect.
