'Empire' Season 2 Spoilers: Bryshere Y. Gray Teases 'Unpredictable' Fall Finale; Hakeem To Deal With Relationship Drama

Season 2 of "Empire" has been filled with many shocking moments and unexpected twists for the Lyons. Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) helped start a new record label, was kidnapped and dropped his last name. However, the rapper's most dramatic moments of the season could come in the fall finale of Fox's hip-hop drama, titled "Et Tu, Brute?"

In an interview with Variety, Gray said the midseason finale is going to be "exciting, intense and unpredictable." Hakeem's former lover Camilla Marks (Naomi Campbell) will return though he has since moved on and has strong feelings for Laura (Jamila Velazquez). As if that wasn't dramatic enough, Anika (Grace Gealey) is also pregnant with his kid after a past hookup. The young rapper may learn of Anika's pregnancy in episode 10.

"I don’t know. I would hope so. It’s going to be his first baby in life," Gray said. "We all know he’s not ready to be a father. I ain’t ready yet, y’all! So we’re were going to see what the outcome is."

Show runner Ilene Chaiken told Variety in a prior interview that Anika has basically been pushed to the brink after how the Lyons had treated her. She's starting to snap and who knows what she has planned as a way to get back at the family.

"She was mistreated by Lucious (Terrence Howard), mistreated by Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), she thought she had her whole life planned and then back comes Cookie and everything falls apart," Chaiken said. "And then her and Hakeem found each other for a moment and then he turned his back on her. It’s starting to take a toll and it’s making her just a little unbalanced -- and I think that’s not going to stop anytime soon."

While it seems like episode 10 will be mostly bad for Hakeem, there will still be some shining moments for the youngest Lyon. Cookie puts on a concert at the prison where she spent 17 years of her life and Hakeem will perform there. In a sneak peek clip, Hakeem is shown onstage praising his mother in an emotional moment, showing how the two have restored their bond with one another. You can watch the video here.
