On “Empire” Season 3, episode 10,  Lucious (Terrence Howard) has plans to do his own music but Cookie (Taraji P. Henson, pictured) won’t go down without a fight. Fox

Last viewers have seen of “Empire” Season 3, the heads of the Lyon family, Cookie and Lucious, were at odds once again. When the Fox series returns for its spring premiere, things will only get more volatile for the unconventional family.

“After launching a deadly missile at Angelo (Taye Diggs), Lucious (Terrence Howard) announces his new music project, Inferno, and puts everyone on notice—especially Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), who then vows to knock him off his throne for good,” the synopsis for episode 10, “Sound & Fury” teases.

In a promo for the Fox series, Lucious can be seen telling Cookie that she loves him but is not willing to address her feelings. Could Lucious’ latest power move be a way of punishing Cookie for not sharing how she really feels about him?

Later on in the “Empire” Season 3 promo, Angelo can be seen saying that Lucious needs to learn when to take a step back from things. Could he be plotting to help Cookie take him down?

It wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if Angelo got revenge against Lucious considering during the fall finale. Viewers will remember Lucious brought a camera crew to Angelo’s fundraiser where they aired out a secret from his past.

In the promo, Cookie can also be seen destroying Lucious’ office but this violent battle may turn into a steamy love session. At the end of the video it seems as if the two will share a kiss. Will Cookie be able to carry out her vow without letting her love for Lucious get in her way?

“Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) befriends musician Tory Ash (Rumer Willis) during his stay in rehab,” the synopsis says. In the fall finale, Jamal was sent to rehab for his addiction to painkillers.

However, in a different promo for “Empire” Season 3, Jamal and Tory can see in the studio in a middle recording session where Cookie seemingly approves of the duo’s musical relationship.

“Andre (Trai Byers) continues with his plan to take over Empire,” the synopsis states. In the fall finale, Andre vowed to kill Lucious and take over Empire and it looks like he has every intention of doing so.

In the promo, Andre is seen shaking hands with Nia Long’s character Giuliana, who will be introduced when the series returns. Standing behind Giuliana is Shyne (Xzibit) who has had a long-running rivalry with Lucious. It looks like the three will team up to bring down the head of the Lyon family.

“Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) and Tiana (Serayah McNeill) battle Nessa (Sierra McClain) for a spot in the music showcase,” the synopsis says. In the fall finale, Hakeem and Tiana decided to get revenge against Nessa who led Hakeem on and sabotaged Tiana so she could steal her place in a performance.

Although the three are seen performing onstage in the promo, only time will tell who will win the showcase and if Hakeem and Tiana will get their revenge.

“Empire” Season 3, episode 10, airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
