Epic Free Games For December: Digital Store To Offer Free Games Daily Starting Thursday

While the limitations that the COVID-19 pandemic has imposed have caused the cancellation of numerous events this year, Christmas celebrations will continue. And for gamers who have been looking for new titles to add to their Epic Games account, a big holiday treat is coming soon.

The Epic Games Store does offer free games on occasion. But with the Christmas season upon us, it is giving members a huge treat by offering free titles daily starting Thursday. However, the games that a member fancies need to be downloaded immediately. The free game will only be available for 24 hours, the digital store announced via its official Twitter account.

"Unwrap deals up to 75% off, but that’s not all.... Also starting December 17, we’ll be giving away a new game each day for two weeks straight - that’s right, it’s 15 Days of Free Games! Each game will be free to claim for just 24 hours, but they’re yours to keep forever. Happy (Early) Holidays, everyone!" a statement read.

That should give Epic Games Store members reason to check the site often. There is no word on what free games will be made available and if they will be quality games. However, Epic Games has given their fair share of good games.

Just recently, the Epic Games Store added a couple of role-playing titles that members can download for free. They are “Pillars of Eternity – Definitive Addition” and “Tyranny – Gold Edition.” Both come from Obsidian Entertainment. Both games are free until Dec. 18.

“Pillars of Eternity – Definitive Edition” is something that will send gamers to the incredible world of Eora. Players will embark on an unforgettable adventure where their choices will mold their paths and shape their destiny. Gamers can choose to play from among six races: Human, Aumaua, Dwarf, Elf, Godlike and Orlan.

“Tyranny – Gold Edition” is a new chapter of “Tyranny” in Bastard’s Wound. Players will embark on a new journey to deal with the mysteries of Terratus to bring Kyros' justice to a new corner of the Tiers. Aside from that, players are given a chance to learn more about their party in a trio of companion quests featuring Lantry, Verse and Barik.
