To kick off the special promo, it is giving away "NBA 2K21" as its first mystery game and fans can download it for free until May 27. According to a recent leak, the next mystery game would be "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration."

The digital storefront has always been very discrete when it comes to its mystery games. However, if the latest leak is accurate, fans can get the "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" game for free starting May 27.

The latest information about the next mystery game came from a post on Epic Games' own French Facebook account, which may have accidentally posted the information ahead of the digital storefront's scheduled date. The post came with the hashtag "EpicMegaSale" alongside the game's video.

Although it has already been deleted, one user was quick enough to screenshot it and share it on Reddit. "Tomb Raider next free game? Saw this pic on a Facebook group," the user wrote in the post that was created on May 25.

The original announcement was in French but someone provided a translation of it. "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration; Free on PC until June 3. Forever on this Epic Games Store," it read.

Last week, industry insider HypeX leaked that Epic Games Store's first mystery game would be "NBA 2K21" and it turned out to be accurate. Like the current leak, it also came out a day before the digital storefront was scheduled to unveil its mystery game. Despite this, however, fans should still manage their expectations and take this new piece of information with skepticism.

The Epic Mega Sale began on May 20 and will run until July 17. During the promo period, fans can download a lot of games for free.

The rumored second mystery game, "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration," was released in 2016. It features the full game alongside the "Rise of the Tomb Raider Season Pass."
