Following in the footsteps of “The Avengers,” the new season of “Fortnite” has brought in another movie-centric limited time event.

The second week of the ninth season of “Fortnite” has introduced a new mode and bounties themed around “John Wick” the week of the big screen release of the film “John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum.” Official details around the new mode and bounties were explained in a post on the Fortnite website on Thursday morning under the title “Everyone Wants Wick.”

The mode, dubbed “Wick’s Bounty,” will give a bounty at the start of a match. Users will receive gold tokens for eliminating other bounty hunters from the match. The main bulk of the tokens come from what the opposing player was carrying before being eliminated.

Players have to be wary, though. As the amount of gold a player increases, they will become more visible on the map for other players to hunt down as they move and shoot. The top three players standing will be shown in the compass at all times and players are limited to three respawns.

There will also be challenges to complete that will offer XP or themed-rewards for the mode:

  • Win a match of Wick's Bounty (1) - One-Shot Glider
  • Play matches of Wick's Bounty (5) - Boogeyman Wrap
  • Collect Gold Tokens (120) - 500 XP
  • Collect Gold Tokens in a single match (20) - 500 XP
  • Deal damage with the Combat Shotgun (500) - 500 XP
  • Deal damage with the Tactical Assault Rifle (500) - 500 XP

The “Fortnite” shop will also be offering the “John Wick Set” for a short time that includes a Keanu Reeves-style John Wick skin and the Simple Sledge Pickaxe.
