Ex-Porn Star Lana Rhoades 'Regrets' Joining Adult Film Industry, Ex Mike Majlak Says

Ex-porn star Lana Rhoades regrets joining the adult film industry, according to former boyfriend Mike Majlak.

On Friday, the YouTuber, 35, announced that he and Rhoades, 24, have split in a seven-minute video he shared on his channel. In the clip, Majlak opened up about his relationship with Rhoades, whose real name is Amara Maple, revealing that she had been contemplating returning to the adult film industry when they first met.

Rhoades started her adult film career in 2016 and had stopped shooting professional porn by late 2017, AVN.com reported. However, she decided to sign a contract with adult entertainment company Brazzer earlier this year, according to Majlak.

"She was two weeks out from going back into the adult industry," he recalled while explaining how their relationship did both of them good. "And I asked her, I said, 'Amara, I don't know you very well. I know we just met but is this something that makes you happy? Is this something that you want to do?’"

Majlak shared that he discouraged Rhoades from returning to the adult industry when she admitted to him that she didn't enjoy this job.

"And she was very frank and earnest about the fact that she didn't want to. That it made her completely sad and she regretted all of the work that she had done. And it was a, it was a part of her life that she wished never happened," the YouTube personality revealed.

"And I was able to kind of instill in her the idea that, 'You don't need to go back to that,' like 'You don't have to do that, to do anything that you don't want to do,'" he continued.

Majlak then touched on Rhoades' transformation from porn star to the "sweetheart of the internet," saying that his ex-girlfriend had a great time shooting videos with him for his channel and for her own YouTube channel over the past 10 months. For Majlak, their relationship facilitated a new life for Rhoades away from the adult entertainment industry.

As for Majlak, he believes their time together made him a more patient and calm person. Majlak confessed that he hadn't been in a relationship for 10 years before meeting Rhoades, whom he credited for teaching him that he could devote himself to one person.

Majlak explained that he felt that it was necessary to acknowledge the positive side of their relationship, adding that his only concern was for Rhoades to be happy. In fact, he said he wouldn’t mind if she starts dating again immediately after their breakup and encouraged his fans to support and respect Rhoades.

In the video, Majlak also revealed that he and Rhoades decided to go their separate ways because they wanted different things in their relationship. According to the YouTuber, his ex-girlfriend wanted to move in together and settle down, which he wasn't ready for at the moment.

Rhoades and Majlak began dating in January after the latter's friend, YouTube superstar Logan Paul, introduced them for his 35th birthday on Jan. 13.

Like her ex-boyfriend, Rhoades also has a YouTube channel, where she boasts over 850,000 subscribers. She has 12.8 million followers on her Instagram, where she promotes brands like Fashion Nova.
