'Extant' Season 2 'Morphoses' Spoilers: Julie Deals With Ethan's Rebellious Side

The CBS TV series “Extant,” starring Halle Berry, will return for the second episode of its upcoming Season 2 on July 8. Season 2, episode 2 titled "Morphoses," is about Julie dealing with Ethan's rebellious side. Plus, Molly questions the state of her own mental health.

It will feature the characters Molly Woods (Halle Berry), Julie Gelineau (Grace Gummer), Ethan Woods (Pierce Gagnon) and J.D. Richter (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Meanwhile, J.D. and Molly discover another pregnant woman who has been suffering from mysterious symptoms that are threatening her life and her baby's. As for Molly, she will start to question her mental stability thanks to things she experienced in the past.

"Extant" series creator Mickey Fisher wrote "Morphoses," and Christine Moore directed it. Guest stars of this episode include David Morrissey (General Tobias Shepherd), Tyler Hilton (Charlie Arthurs), Adhu (Henderson Wade), Necar Zadegan (Shayna Velez), Hilarie Burton (Anna Salinger) and Kiersey Clemons (Lucy).

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) provided a list of the show's other cast members, who include Mark Adair-Rios (GSC Tech), Matthew R. Anderson (Navy SEAL), James Ferris (Roughneck), Hilarie Burton (Anna Schaefer), Lynnanne Zager (G.I.N.A.) (voice), John Billingsley (Dr. Mize), Craig Tsuyumine (Virtual Doctor) and Steven Allerick (GSC Tech #2).

The official website of "Extant" posted a photo gallery of what's in store for viewers on Season 2. It has photos of Halle Berry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Morgan's character J.D. Richter is described as a cop and a mercenary-bounty hunter. Richter is also a womanizer who is fearless and reckless. However, his life takes a surprising turn when he meets Molly Woods (Berry) and discovers that there are still shocking mysteries in the world they live in. Click here and here to see the photos.

The "Extant" Season 2, episode 2 "Morphoses" airs at 10 p.m. EDT July 8 on CBS. The next episodes after "Dead Air" are "Empathy for the Devil" (July 15); "Cracking the Code" (July 22); "The New Frontier" (July 29); and "You Say You Want an Evolution" (Aug. 5).
