The fall TV premieres continue! Monday will bring back some familiar shows along with some new series.

The premieres kick off early with “Total Request Live,” which will be on right after school. Yes, MTV is bringing back the music video countdown, which originally ran from 1998-2008. Its first hour will be commercial-free and include performances from Ed Sheeran and Migos. DJ Khaled will also appear as the “godfather of TRL.”

Once primetime starts on Monday night, “Lucifer” will premiere. Season 3 starts with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) waking up in the middle of the desert, but this wasn’t just a weekend in Vegas gone wrong. Lucifer wakes up with his wings back. Chloe (Lauren German) will help him figure out what happened.

As previously reported, showrunner Joe Henderson revealed that Lucifer won’t react well to getting his wings back. “When Lucifer gets the feeling his dad either wants him to be an angel again or feels like he’s worthy of being an angel again, Lucifer decides that he has to be the Devil all the more,” he teased to TV Guide.

Gifted Lucifer premieres
“The Gifted” and “Lucifer” premiere Monday, Oct. 2 on Fox. Fox

After “Lucifer” returns, “The Gifted” will debut. The Marvel TV show is part of the X-Men universe. The Von Strucker family is forever changed when their two teenage kids, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White), are revealed to be mutants. Though their father Reed (Stephen Moyer) hunts down mutants for a living, it’s a different situation when his own kids could face life imprisoned. Reed and Kate (Amy Acker) decide to take their children on the run.

Those who are looking for a laugh can turn to CBS. After “Big Bang Theory,” a new fall comedy called “9JKL” will premiere. The sitcom follows an unemployed actor who has just gotten divorced. He decides to move into an apartment owned by his parents. The problem is that his folks live in an apartment on one side of him while his super successful brother lives in the other apartment.

Anglophiles can tune into a new British import on Monday too. “The Halcyon,” a drama often compared to “Downton Abbey,” is an eight-episode show following a hotel of the same name in 1940. The five-star establishment is the epicenter of London’s high society during World War II. “Constantine” fans will recognize actor Matt Ryan, but he’ll be playing an American radio correspondent rather than a demon hunter this time.
