‘Fallout 4’ New Limited Loot Crate Features More Exclusive Items; Dev Reveals User Mod Mechanics
Fans may have been clamoring for the “Fallout 4” Pip-Boy edition, but it appears that Bethesda has another surprise in store. The game developer has partnered with Loot Crate to create a “Fallout” Loot Crate with exclusive items.
The limited edition “Fallout 4” Loot Crate will be launched at the same time as Bethesda’s coming game, DualShockers reports. “Fallout 4” fans can subscribe to the service by paying a monthly fee. They will receive items and memorabilia from the “Fallout 4” franchise.
The company has already released the signup page for those who want to pre-order the crate. But Bethesda has not yet announced what the contents of the crate will include.
This is a great opportunity for fans who want collectibles in the “Fallout” franchise. And for those who may have missed their shot at the “Fallout 4” Pip-Boy Edition, which will no longer be made available, this is a new way to get some “Fallout” goodies. Bethesda has reiterated that the “Fallout 4” Loot Crates will be extremely limited, so if the sold-out Pip-Boy Edition is anything to go by, fans may want to get a head start.
As for any updates on the features for “Fallout 4,” Bethesda has confirmed that the mod tools will come later on. In an interview with IGN, Bethesda Marketing VP Pete Hines said the developer is currently focused on finalizing and rolling out the base game.
“We shift energy to construction tools, the creation kit and all of that stuff once the game is done, and we start to figure out what all of that is going to look like," said Hines.
Currently, the system for the mods is still in development. It may take some months after release until Xbox One and PC players will get their hands on mod tools.
“Fallout 4” is set to launch on Nov. 10. It will arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, though only the latter two have been confirmed to have mod support.
