A family of four was found dead in their home in Kentucky just hours after the husband posted on social media about being "betrayed" by his own wife.

The Kentucky State Police has initiated an investigation into the deaths of Kyle Milliken, his wife Ashley and their sons Kyle and Kycohn, aged 13 and 8, at their home in the south of Mayfield, Graves County, the New York Post reported.

The bodies were discovered at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday after troopers were dispatched to the residence. It remains unclear who called the police.

Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities found four people who had been shot. Autopsies on the victims were performed on Monday.

A few hours before the authorities learned about the murder-suicide, Milliken reportedly took to Facebook to share some troubles concerning his domestic life

"My kids are my everything, a women [sic] can come and go. If she is not happy You can't make her happy!" Milliken wrote. "A lot of the time, she was going to do it anyway, but when u pick someone up and carry them for years and she still betray you [sic], what do you do."

Chad Lamb, the family's pastor, said the family was well-respected and liked in the community. "I'm still in shock. It's just heartbreaking for the community. It's a well-known family — well-respected on both sides of their families that they come from. Our community is just grieving right now," the pastor, who works with the Grace Life Church in Mayfield, said as per WPSD TV.

He also described the family as loving and tremendous and encouraged members of the community to come together and pray. "We need to love one another. We need to help one another. And we need to understand that we never know what people are going through," he said.

Tributes are pouring in for the family. The community members will organize a balloon release on Christmas Eve at Kess Creek Park in the family's memory. Mayfield Independent School District, where the boys attended school, also shared their condolences.
