Anisha Ramakrishna got candid about her decision to freeze her eggs.

The "Family Karma" star opened up about the process of freezing her eggs on the first season of the Bravo series saying it was not a calculated move. She pushed through with it because she wanted to have kids and is already in her late 30s.

"I did that during Season 1 unintentionally," she told Page Six. "People are like, ‘Did you do it for the show?’ I’m like, ‘No. I turned 36.’ I turned 36 two weeks before we started filming. That was the catalyst."

"I wanted to share it," she added.

Freezing her eggs was not an easy decision for Ramakrishna because she came from a conservative family. Her mom didn't want to talk about it because "it's a medical topic" and very personal. She added that it was a "decision-making" process between her and her mom because she was also her momager.

Her mom didn't know much about the process. But according to Ramakrishna, her mother's views wound up reinforcing her decision.

"You know, they’re a different generation. They didn’t freeze their eggs. If you didn’t have kids in her day, then you just didn’t have them. They didn’t have these options. And so that’s kind of why I wanted to share my story, because — I sound like a princess — I was like, ‘Wait, I’m a supermodel. I’m smart. Why am I single? Why am I freezing my eggs?’" she continued.

"And so I wanted to share my story of, like, I’m freezing my eggs. I’m all about being a power female and giving zero Fs and here you see me being really vulnerable. Like, I couldn’t believe I had to do this."

Ramakrishna also shared that she should have listened to her aunties sooner before she had baby fever. They advised her to freeze her eggs four years ago and she didn't listen to them.

She realized that things could change and one doesn't know what the future holds, so she is now encouraging women to freeze their eggs as early as possible.

"You don’t know that you might change your mind. And that’s why I encourage anyone to freeze their eggs. Hopefully, you’re in your thirties, twenties, you should freeze your eggs even if you’re in a serious relationship. I was in one and look," she continued.

Ramakrishna told Entertainment Tonight that she ended her 12-year relationship when they filmed Season 1. She admitted that she was lost at the time and didn't know what was happening to her.

"Really, I was lost. I was still the only single, straight cast member, and people don't realize I gained 30 pounds and I chopped all my hair hair off," she told ET.

When it comes to the budget, the Bravo reality star said it depends on one's priorities.

"People talk about the financial burden of it. And I said, if I can go on a vacation, if I can get Botox, if I can go buy a handbag, then there are payment plans. You can freeze your eggs!" she explained.

"Family Karma" Season 2 air 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
