Some fans seemed to welcome the idea of going to jail only if the 28-year-old English singer would bail them out.

In his post, he said he was “appalled and deeply saddened” by the police brutality the world had to witness. Tomlinson also expressed his disgust that many people still lived in fear because of their skin color.
Tomlinson showed his support to the black community and the protesters for racial equality by privately donating to numerous charities. He also called for people to show their support by donating blacklivesmatter.carrd.co.
Tomlinson’s One Direction bandmates also expressed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, JustJaredJr. reported.

Liam Payne, on a separate post, talked about injustice and racial discrimination. In his post, Payne said that saying “Black Lives Matter” wasn’t enough.
Citing injustice in many forms, Payne said it could be in race, gender, sexuality, religion or belief. He added that nobody should suffer discrimination and a change needed to happen — may it be through petitions, donations or conversation with family.
Niall Horan also shared a piece of his thoughts about the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement. Horan asked for a safe protest and campaigns for educating the younger generation about racial equality.
Horan also tweeted a post from Black Lives Matter site on ways people could help make the change.
