Since last year, analysts and tech enthusiasts have been speculating on the arrival of the refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro from Apple. Today (May 4), the Cupertino tech giant announces the arrival of the updated version of its premium laptop. As the new norm these days, Apple launches the new device online.

13-Inch MacBook Pro Specs and Features

A few minutes ago, Apple revealed the new 13-inch MacBook Pro, a refresh version of the current generation premium laptop. The new device houses the 10th generation quad-core Intel processors. On its latest blog, the Cupertino tech giant claims that the newest offering offers up to 80 percent faster graphics performance. This is made possible because of the 16GB of faster 3733MHz memory standard available on various configurations.

According to Apple, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is equipped with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz. But, just like its older sibling, the latest offering from Apple maintains a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 227 ppi. It also comes with a wide range of color support thanks to its True Tone technology, along with 500 nits brightness.

For models running on eight-generation Intel, the Iris Plus Graphics 645 video chipset is available. For the 13-inch MacBook Pro using the 10th generation Intel chip, the more powerful Iris Plus Graphics integrated set is available. This latest graphics prowess offered by the 10th generation Intel chips allows users of the 13-inch MacBook Pro to connect at full 6K resolution to the Pro Display XDR. Moreover, the 13-inch MacBook Pro sports a couple of Thunderbolt 3 ports on the low-end models running on 8th generation Intel chips, while the higher tier configurations come with four Thunderbolt 3 ports.

13-Inch MacBook Pro Configurations

The new 13-Inch MacBook Pro retails at $1299 and features the 8th generation i5 1.4 GHz quad-core processor. It has a Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.9 GHz, 256 GB storage, and 8 GB of RAM. The new premium laptop from Apple is also available in the 8th generation i7 model as well as a 2 GHz quad-core 10th generation i7 model with Turbo speeds of up to 3.8 GHz, 512 GB storage, and 16 GB of RAM. It retails at $1799.

For those who want a totally maxed out configuration with the 13-Inch MacBook Pro running on 10th generation Intel chip with 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel i7 processor, 4.1 GHz Turbo Boost, 4 TB storage, and 32 GB RAM, it is available at $3599.
