Father Rapes 11-Year-Old After Feng Shui Master Advises Him To Have Sex With Virgin

A man in Singapore has been jailed for raping his 11-year-old daughter after a Feng Shui master advised him to have sex with a virgin to avoid a life-threatening mishap.

Though the Feng Shui master offered to get him a virgin at a charge of $650 to avoid the prophesized tragedy, the man decided to rape his own biological daughter instead.

The 50-year-old unidentified man was sentenced to 23 years in prison Monday after he pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated statutory rape and aggravated sexual assault by penetration. The court also took into account seven other charges during the sentencing, The Straits Times reported.

"Not only did he see his daughter as a sex object, but he also saw her as a cheaper alternative instrument through which he would save himself from harm," Deputy Public Prosecutor Joshua Lim said in court.

The accused approached the Feng Shui master for predicting his future in September 2018. When he heard about a life-threatening mishap that he would face in 2019, he was disturbed by the predictions.

Meanwhile, the court heard that he did not take up the offer that Feng Shui master made as he did not have enough money. "He could not explain why he chose the victim but admitted that he was sexually aroused by her," Deputy Public Prosecutor added, Channel News Asia reported.

The man started molesting his daughter in October 2018 and eventually raped the girl in December 2018 when she was alone at the home. The victim could not reveal her ordeal with her mother or her older sibling fearing her parents would get divorced.

However, the incident came to light in August 2019 when a teacher started noticing behavioral changes in the girl. The school reported it to the police and the girl's father was arrested.

The defense lawyer argued in court that the man was "out of his usual character” and was truly remorseful of his actions. "He truly regrets the offenses he committed out of a moment of folly and in fear of the feng shui master's predictions. Even today, he cannot believe that he did this to his own daughter," the lawyer told the court.
