An 11-year-old student received six stitches to his forehead injury after an alleged altercation with his teacher over a juice box.

The incident allegedly happened on a school day last week at Post Elementary School in Houston, Texas where the student's mother, Kiana Randoplh received a call from the school nurse and rushed to the school and discovered her son, Kamauri Williamson, sporting an open wound a couple of inches long above his right eyebrow which was serious enough to have him airlifted to Texas Medical Center fro treatment.

According to ABC News, the school officials told Randolph that the injury was caused by a fight over a juice box.

Randolph said that she saw the school's surveillance footage and was displeased when she reportedly saw the teacher grab her son's hoodie and slammed his head against the counter in the classroom.

"You see him at one point, my son’s feet lift up off the ground and he is basically being choked," she said in ABC News' Houston Station, KTRK.

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, where Post Elementary School was located, released a statement through KTRK.

"A Post Elementary School student had a medical emergency last Wednesday that precipitated the need for emergency treatment," the statement said. "The employee was placed on administrative leave, and the incident is currently under investigation."

Williamson has gone back to school after the incident while the teacher is on leave as the investigation continues.
