'Fight Song' Singer Rachel Platten Announces Pregnancy On 'The Talk'

“Fight Song” singer revealed she is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Lazan on Tuesday’s edition of "The Talk."

“I realized when I got asked to do the show today, I was like, I haven’t announced this yet. I guess I’m going to have to announce this. So, this is my announcement!” said Platten cradling her baby bump.

The show’s hosts went on to present her with a special baby gift, a ‘Talk’ onesie, which absolutely delighted her.

“This is the first baby gift I’ve received for this baby. The second baby, everybody always says, oh, you’re fine, you have everything,” she joked.

Celebs influence youth and are considered to be their role models. When they open up and talk about therapy, it motivates people struggling with similar issues to seek help for themselves.

During the episode, apart from spotting a lovely pregnancy glow, Platten also spoke to the audience about her marriage to Kevin Lazan. She revealed the couple who has been together for nearly 15 years now was also undergoing therapy.

“First of all, therapy, couples therapy has helped with that. But second of all, I don’t want to meet in the middle with him. I actually love that he balances me, and he grounds me,” she said.

The couple got married in July 2010 and have a two-year-old daughter named Violet Sky Lazan.

The singer also took to Instagram to share the good news. The post was captioned, “Here's the other half of what I've been creating this year. Baby #2 coming in hot. This was a hard secret to keep.”

Last July, the couple celebrated their 10 years of marriage and the songstress dedicated an Instagram post to her husband calling him, “My best friend, my soulmate, my biggest champion, my solid ground, the absolute love of my life.”

She further wrote, “ Kevin, you are the funniest person I’ve ever met, you are the smartest, the sexiest, silliest, steadiest, kindest, loyalist, funniest. You are my secret weapon, my shoulder to cry on, my whole entire world. I love the life we’ve built. I love watching you be the most loving dad to violet. I love the lessons we’ve learned. I love the ups and I love the downs. I love who you were 15 years ago when we first met and I loved you 10 years ago when we said I do, and honestly, I love you even more now. Ours is a true love story written in the stars. Thank you sweet husband for everything. Happy anniversary. ”
