FileWall Announced For Office365 Users, Here’s How It Protects Small Businesses
Israeli cybersecurity company, Odix, has a new product that recently launched which it says will protect small and medium businesses from malware attacks.
Known as “FileWall,” the new program works within Microsoft Office 365 email boxes to prevent malware sent through files, a major security concern for many, not just businesses. According to Odix’s official release, businesses are still the target of 62% of all cyberattacks, and as a result, 60% of these targeted businesses go out of business within six months.
The program utilizes an enterprise-level process known as Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR), a process by which incoming files are searched at the deepest levels for potential malware before letting users open them. The program is also designed to work in conjunction with preexisting Microsoft security measures, like Advanced Threat Protection.
“FileWall introduces a new paradigm for SMBs, enabling them to consume an enterprise-grade security solution that is activated in an instant and available at an affordable price,” Odix CEO Dr. Oren Eytan said in a press release. “FileWall users have already begun to rave about their experience with the service during the last few months.”
“We're happy to welcome FileWall to Microsoft AppSource, which gives our customers access to the best solutions available from our extensive partner ecosystem,” Toby Bowers, the general manager of business application for Microsoft, added. “Microsoft AppSource offers partner solutions such as FileWall from Odix to help customers meet their needs faster.”
FileWall is now available on Microsoft’s AppSource store. It is free to download and features a free trial month. After that, the program costs $1-per-month or $10-per-year.
