Fillippa Hamilton, a size 4 model who worked for Ralph Lauren, was fired after the fashion designer suggested she was too fat.

We're terminating your services because you don't fit into the sample clothes that you need to wear, Hamilton says Lauren told her agency.

Hamilton, 23 is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She had worked for eight years with the fashion designer and said they were like a second family for her.

They said I couldn't fit in their clothes anymore, Hamilton stated on NBC's Today Show on Wednesday.

The firing was followed by a scandal over an ad featuring Hamilton that was digitally modified by Lauren and her head looked bigger than her pelvis.

Hamilton claims that action is a bad example for girls who looking at the ad may think is normal to look that way when is not.

Ralph Lauren replied saying We have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman's body.
