First Ladies Samantha Cameron and Michelle Obama are not only known for being married to two of the world's most powerful men but also for their cool, confident and impeccable sense of style.
The sentiment was on perfect display during the state visit of David and Samantha Cameron to the United States.
Michelle and Samantha, regarded as fashion icons and role models for women, frequently showcase creations of designers from their own countries. In fact, Samantha is the ambassador of the British Fashion Council, which works to help and support British brands and businesses for the future.
Britain's First lady arrived at the Maryland Air Force Base in Baltimore dressed in a stylish Burberry trench coat, Joseph trousers and wearing L K Bennett shoes. The coat, from Burberry's Spring/Summer 2012 collection was belted near her waist.
The Daily Mail reported her trousers - slim-cut cigarette pants from upmarket high street store Joseph - were one of her favourites and she had worn them on many previous occasions - including to Burberry's most recent fashion show, where she sat front row.
She was welcomed by Michelle Obama in Washington, where she attended a mini-Olympics event with local school children at American University's Bender Arena.
Samantha then removed her trench coat to reveal a pretty fuschia top by Roksanda Ilincic which she earlier wore during a recent British Fashion Council party.
Michelle Obama, on the other hand, opted for a knitted cardigan in bright yellow shade by designer label L'Wren Scott which she paired with very wide-legged trousers.
