Fisher-Price Sleeper Recall 2019: How To Get A Refund?
In another sleeper recall because of the potential for infant fatality, Mattel's (MAT) Fisher-Price brand has recalled the Ultra-Lite Day & Night Play Yards inclined sleeper. The recall affects about 71,000 sleepers.
The recall is for the inclined sleeper accessory of the Ultra-Lite Day & Night Play Yards sleeper with the model numbers CBV60, CHP86, CHR06, CJK24, and DJD11. The model number is located on the fabric label inside the play yard and on the fabric label on the back of the inclined sleeper pad.
The recall is being issued because infants may roll from their back to their stomach or side when unrestrained or under other circumstances, the company said. The sleeper was sold nationwide from October 2014 through June 2019. It retailed for approximately $90 to $110.
Consumers that have purchased the included sleeper can contact Fisher-Price for a full refund or voucher. They should immediately stop using the sleeper accessory. The company said that the play yard may be continued to be used without the inclined sleeper accessory. The changing station clutch accessory and carry bag may also be used without issue.
Questions about the recall can be directed to Fischer Price at 1-800-432-5437, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. More information is also available at www.service.mattel.com by clicking on the Recalls & Safety Alerts link.
The company has not received any reports of injury or incident from the recalled sleeper accessory.
Shares of Mattel stock were up 0.73 percent as of 10:13 p.m. ET on Friday.
