“The Flash” is taking a break for a few weeks. No, that is not an April Fools' Day trick. After a busy bunch of episodes, the CW series is taking some time off before returning with episode 18, “All Star Team Up,” on Tuesday, April 14. When the show does come back, Barry (Grant Gustin) and the S.T.A.R. Labs team will once again be joined by their friends from Starling City.

According to the synopsis for episode 18, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) from “Arrow” will be paying another visit to Central City. This time she will be bringing along her new boyfriend, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) – a.k.a. the Atom. Felicity and Ray need help with the Atom’s new suit.

While in Central City, Felicity and Ray will serve as backup to the Flash as Barry takes on a new meta-human – the Bug-Eyed Bandit (Emily Kinney). The new foe – whose real name is Brie Larvin – will unleash a swarm of robotic bees on the city to target her former co-workers and only Barry can stop her before it is too late.

On top of that, the synopsis reveals that a dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) will go horribly wrong. That is not hard to imagine considering what has gone down between Barry and Iris lately. Barry seemed to recover from his ill-conceived confession of love, but Eddie no longer seems to trust Barry after the superhero revealed his Flash identity to convince Eddie to help protect Iris from Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanaugh).

Will Felicity and Ray be able to help Barry stop the Bug-Eyed Bandit? What will happen between Barry and Iris? Fans will have to wait to find out. “The Flash” returns to the CW for the final episodes of Season 1 on April 14.
