‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 10 Synopsis Reveals Why Barry Is Hesitant To Stop Plunder
Barry (Grant Gustin) hesitates to put a bad guy down in Season 3, episode 10 of “The Flash.”
According to the synopsis for the winter premiere of the CW series, Barry finds himself in a shilly-shally situation when a criminal named Plunder (Stephen Huszar) shows up. Barry wants to catch Plunder just like any other baddie who brings trouble to Central City, but when he remembers the villain’s presence in the future where he saw Savitar kill Iris (Candice Patton), he fears that catching the criminal will cement Iris’ doomed fate.
Confused about Barry’s indecision to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. And as revealed in a sneak peek from the episode, the team’s newest speedster is successful in putting Plunder in Iron Heights. Barry, however, isn’t thrilled with what Wally has done.
“Wally, what was that!? You’re supposed to be shadowing me,” the Scarlett Speedster yells at Kid Flash in front of everyone at S.T.A.R. Labs right after he successfully locked Plunder up at Iron Heights. “I’m sorry, Wally. But if you can’t learn to follow orders, this deal between us, it’s over.”
The synopsis also states that Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is going to offer Julian (Tom Felton) a job in the episode. While the nature of the job remains to be seen, it won’t be surprising if Barry’s fellow CSI ends up accepting the job. After all, executive producer Aaron Helbing recently teased to TVLine that Team Flash may be getting some help from Julian in saving Iris after he unwittingly served Savitar as Doctor Alchemy in the first half of the season.
“He feels culpable, and wants to make amends,” Helbing said of Julian, who was last seen celebrating Christmas with the whole Team Flash at the end of the midseason finale.
“The Flash” Season 3, episode 10, titled “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
