According to Deadline, the Jamaican-Canadian actor will be a series regular in “The Flash” Season 7. Runk has been made part of Team Flash in the current season. He is a tech prodigy who has set up his shop in a garage that belongs to his grandmother.

Runk is known to be extremely resourceful as he can build any gadget without the help or backing of a well-equipped S.T.A.R. Labs-like facility. This genius scientist built a decent following on YouTube for his DIY techniques to make tech out of junk. He was discovered by Team Flash in the first episode of “The Flash” Season 6 after he opened a black hole in the middle of an experiment.

Apart from “The Flash,” McKnight made his film debut in the “The Shape of Water” directed by Guillermo del Toro, which bagged four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director. Recently, the actor was seen in “Akilla’s Escape.” He will be sharing the screen with Liam Hemsworth in “Dodge & Miles.”

In Season 6 of “The Flash,” Runk has worked with Kamilla Hwang (Victoria Park). Hwang was introduced in the show as Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) love interest.

In an interview with Digital Spy, the actress talked about working with other characters. “ To come on a show as someone's love interest is fun but one-note, so as an actor, to be able to have other storylines and see other aspects of Kamilla fleshed out and seeing her have other friendships is always very refreshing and fun to do,” she said. At the moment, Kamilla doesn’t have any superpowers in the show. But she believes that one doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.

“The Flash” Season 6 episodes hit the airwaves every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
