Florida Man Kamil Mezalka Literally Hacks Computer With Samurai Sword During FBI Child Porn Raid On His Home

A Florida man charged with downloading child pornography hacked at his computer with a samurai sword as federal agents raided his home, according to an affidavit filed by the U.S. attorney's office for the Middle District of Florida.

As FBI agents raided the Palm Coast, Fla., home of 21-year-old Kamil Mezalka, he saw the agents and went inside his bathroom and closed the door.

Despite commands to come out with his hands up, Mezalka hunkered down until the agents busted in and saw Mezalka standing in his underwear, holding a two-handed samurai sword which he had stabbed into the side of a desktop computer, the affidavit read.

More commands were given for Mezalka to drop the samurai sword, all of which Mezalka ignored to obey, the affidavit continues. Mezalka began to remove the samurai sword from the computer as the law enforcement officers advanced on him in order to secure him and eliminate any potential danger.

The samurai sword was not the only deadly weapon Mezalka had in his home, according to the affidavit.

Agents also allegedly found a loaded two-barrel pistol on the floor along with several swords on the shelves and wall of his bedroom.

Mezalka allegedly had hundreds of files containing child pornography on his hard drive.

According to the affidavit, admitted that he used a profile on a peer-to-peer network to download pornography, including images and videos of teenage girls.

He allegedly admitted to being attracted to girls between 13 and 18 years old and even said it was possible he may have downloaded child pornography of girls younger than 13.

Mezalka allegedly told agents he searched for child porn on the network using terms like 15yo, or something like that, jailbait, or teenage girls, according to the affidavit.

The 21-year-old Florida man said he never searched using the term 10yo because he stated that he does not look for something that young.

Yet the affidavit said Mezalka admitted he may have done something stupid and may have typed 3yo or 4yo or 5yo or 6yo.

An FBI forensic examiner allegedly found hundredsof files on a hard drive from the computer Mezalka attacked with the samurai sword. The FBI agent who wrote the affidavit said the examiner showed him one particular file allegedly downloaded from Mezalka's computer on April 4, 2011 that was accessed Dec. 28, 2011 in which an 8-year-old girl was engaged in a sex act with a grown man.

Mezalka faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of charges of receiving child pornography over the Internet, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Mezalka is due in court tomorrow before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas E. Morris.
