Former Women's Champion Reportedly Irked By WWE's Creative Team
KEY POINTS
- Alexa Bliss vented her frustration with WWE creatives back in February
- Bliss might not return to action just yet after getting married to singer Ryan Cabrera
- It has almost been two months since the last time Alexa Bliss was seen on WWE programming
It has almost been two months since the pro wrestling community has seen Alexa Bliss on WWE programming, and it now seems that her absence is due to her and WWE’s creative department coming to a head.
Ringside News, citing a source from Fightful Select, reported on this surprising development.
“We’re told that even as of that point (Elimination Chamber in February) there was no substantial creative direction for (Alexa) Bliss. Talent, creative and higher-ups that Fightful spoke to said that it became known Bliss voiced her displeasure in the days following Elimination Chamber about her creative direction or lack thereof,” the report stated.
Her missing on TV was further elaborated upon by the report, especially addressing the rumors that Bliss would have been booked for WrestleMania 38.
“We’re told that by the end of February it was pretty well determined internally that (Alexa) Bliss would not be featured on WrestleMania. Those that we spoke to say that the priority of booking Bliss shifted significantly after the vignettes,” the report added.
Bliss was last seen at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and her return to the ring was heavily featured on WWE TV by a series of vignettes where she is seen to be talking with a therapist.
Since that time, the first woman to have won both the SmackDown and Raw Women’s titles has been left off the shows and fans have been clamoring for her return.
A few weeks ago, many current and former WWE talents attended the wedding of Bliss and her real-life partner Ryan Cabrera, which has led many to believe that she will be off WWE programming for a long while she enjoys the married life for a bit.
Aside from Bliss, the return of Asuka has also been heavily speculated upon because the WWE women’s division could use the influx of talent as quickly as possible.
Creative not having anything for Bliss currently could be interpreted in many ways and everyone will be eagerly waiting for how this situation turns out.
For now, though, fans can tune into the coming rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan after the former turned on the latter during the latest episode of Raw.
