‘The Fosters’ Season 5 Spoilers: Stef’s Ex-Girlfriend Tess Continues To Reach Out

“The Fosters” Season 5, episode 5 will see Stef’s (Teri Polo) ex-girlfriend, Tess (Kristen Ariza), continue to reach out to the former’s family.

In the previous episode, Stef told her wife Lena (Sherri Saum) that her first girlfriend has moved to the house next to their home. Stef and Lena hosted a quaint dinner for their new neighbors. And as uncomfortable as it was for Lena to see her wife with her former lover, she acted like a champ and pulled through.

But in the sneak peek released by Freeform for “Telling,” Lena hears a knock on the door and discovers that it’s Tess and her son looking for Stef. Lena tells Tess that Stef isn’t home, and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) says hello to Tess’ son who she has a crush on. When Tess asks Lena if they want to come over for dinner, Mariana immediately says yes since they don’t have anything planned.

Lena initially wants to say no to Tess’ invitation, but Mariana makes a decision before she can. This means that the upcoming episode of “The Fosters” will feature another awkward conversation at the dinner table.

Also in the episode, Stef is very busy with work. She is currently handling the case of a young boy and becomes extremely obsessed with it. Stef spending long hours at her workplace could mean another issue for the couple. Lena previously expressed that she and Stef no longer spend that much time with each other. The former recently resigned from her work to focus more on Jesus’ (Noah Centineo) recovery.

Meanwhile, Brandon (David Lambert) and Grace (Meg DeLacy) will also struggle with their relationship. The presence of a woman from Brandon’s past will make Grace wonder whether or not her boyfriend is already over the former. By the looks of it, Brandon and Grace could decide to take a break from their relationship in episode 5.

Additionally, Callie (Maia Mitchell) and her foster siblings will be invited to a party at the Derby warehouse, but things will escalate quickly when the police arrives. Callie will once again have to explain herself to the authorities.
