The three fugitive siblings who eluded authorities for more than a week have been captured, the Associated Press reported.

The siblings were nabbed after they crashed their car after a high-speed chase. Gunshots were also fired. The Colorado State Police announced the capture on their Twitter page.

"Short pursuit with 3 sibling fugitives from Florida ends in crash, three in custody. CSP PIO en route to the scene," the CSP Tweeted.

Due to the police activity, southbound lanes of Interstate 25 have been closed at mile marker 53 north of Walsenburg, the Denver Post reported.

Lee Grace Dougherty, Ryan Edward Dougherty, and Dylan Dougherty Stanley were spotted on Tuesday buying a tent from a camp store in Colorado Springs.

The capture ends a cross-country manhunt that involved the siblings' mother publicly begging her children to turn themselves in.

Even Ryan's pregnant girlfriend made a Facebook plea for him to come home, ABC News reported.

"I know y u did what did but buddy ur supposed to be there when I deliver," she wrote.

The Florida siblings were wanted for shooting a police officer in Florida and robbing a bank in Georgia.
