Future Says There’s A New Jay Z Song Coming This Summer; Will The Rapper Respond To Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’?
Jay Z is apparently getting ready to release a new song, and rapper Future is already predicting it’s going to be the song of the summer. Future announced in a series of tweets that Jay Z was teaming up with DJ Khaled for the track.
“Special Cloth Alert,” he tweeted Saturday. “New Jay Z record gone f$ck da Summer up.”
According to Complex, the song will be the first single from Khaled’s “Major Key” album, which is expected to be released later this year. It’s not clear if Jay Z’s song with Khaled will address the cheating accusations made on Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” but reports surfaced earlier this month that the “99 Problems” rapper was planning to respond with an album of his own. “Jay is working on an album telling his side of things,” a source told Us Weekly.
Even though Beyoncé alluded to marital strife on the album, the pair’s relationship seems to be back on track. Jay Z was spotted in the front row on opening night of her “Formation World Tour” in Miami last month, and she even gave him a shout-out calling him her “beautiful husband.”
E! News also reported that Jay Z wasn’t shocked by the claims made on “Lemonade” because his wife got his approval on everything before she released it. “Jay was involved in the creation of ‘Lemonade’ and knew every song Bey was going to release,” the source said. “He had to approve the songs before release … Jay is all about self-expression, so he gets it.”
