Earlier this month, Samsung held its yearly Unpacked event. During the affair, the South Korean tech giant launched its flagship smartphone -- the Galaxy S20 series, its new generation Galaxy Buds Plus, and a new flip foldable smartphone named Galaxy Z Flip. A recent deluge of leaks is now available revealing exciting features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 20.
Galaxy Note 20 Exciting Features
A recent set of details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 comes from the tech YouTube channel TT Technologies. The channel mentions having stumbled upon a patent filed by Samsung, which could be for its soon to arrive premium phablet. The patent mentions the possibility of integrating grip-based sensors for a variety of health metrics.
It includes electromyography sensors to measure muscular health, electrocardiogram (ECG) to detect irregular heart rhythms, and EEG for brain activity, the YouTube channel notes. Based on these details, it looks like Samsung would like to introduce these health metrics, which used to be popular selling features of smartwatches, to its premium tablet.
Apart from these health metrics, the channel also claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 could feature a built-in projector. This feature would make the upcoming Samsung phablet attractive to gamers and professional who conducts business presentations.
Other Galaxy Note 20 Features
Earlier leaks claimed that the Galaxy Note 20 would feature a 120 Hz display refresh rate. However, a recent announcement from Samsung Display triggers the possibility that the upcoming phablet might sport the new display, which the company claims is optimized for 5G smartphones. From the official announcement, we learned that this new display is capable of reducing the power consumption as well as cuts the emission of blue light.
A study published by Harvard reveals that the blue light emitted by smartphones is not bad for the eyes. However, it has a significant effect on the quality of our sleep. If this rumor about the optimized 5G display would be on the Galaxy Note 20, consumers could be looking at a phablet that is not only powerful but also helpful to its user’s health.
These details, however, interesting are not yet official. At this point, take these details with a pinch of salt. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is expected to arrive in Jul. 2020.
