Garth Brooks Net Worth: Singer Named Highest Paid Country Musician Of 2017
Garth Brooks has just been named one of the highest-paid country singers today.
According to Forbes, “The Thunder Rolls” crooner earned approximately 60 million last year from his soldout concerts. Lagging closely behind him are Kenny Chesney, with $42.5 million and Luke Bryan with $42 million. The latter earned the hefty sum not only from his concerts, songs and albums, but also from his involvements in Outdoor Channel’s “Buck Commander” and “Duck Dynasty.” Bryan also has some endorsements that added to his net worth.
The publication’s 2017 list of world’s highest-paid country music stars also ranked veteran country singer Dolly Parton as the fourth richest country singer today. The 71-year-old singer earned $37 million from her 63 shows in 2016. Additionally, Parton receives income from her publishing paychecks, as well as her Dollywood theme park.
Rounding out the top five are Florida Georgia Line and Toby Keith, who both earned $34.5 million. Other country singers who also made it in the top 10 include “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton, former “American Idol” judge Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and Eric Church.
According to People, the combined earnings of the top 10 highest-paid country singers for this year is much lower than their combined income last year. In 2016, the top 10 country musicians earned $393 million. This year, they only earned a combined income of $366 million.
Additionally, this year’s list did not include some of the most popular female country artists in the world today. For instance, “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood made the list last year with $26 million, but she didn’t make it to the list this year. Just like her, Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, made it to last year’s list with $18 million.
Luckily, there are some female country singers gaining popularity this year, and this could mean that the final list in 2018 will have a balance between male and female artists. Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Faith Hill and Shania Twains’ albums and tours that will take place this year could up their income.
