Is Gavin Rossdale Inserting Himself In Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton’s Relationship?

There are reports that their hot and heavy romance may be coming to an end, and if that is true, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani may need to run their alleged break-up past someone very surprising—Stefani’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale.

According to Life and Style, Shelton and Stefani’s relationship status remains up in the air, with no clear indication on whether or not the duo are planning to split up or stay together. However, if they were to consider breaking up, the magazine claims that they would likely have to sit down about it with Stefani’s ex-husband, because he is worried about how a split would affect his sons with the No Doubt rocker.

“All three boys [Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 3] have gotten extremely close to Blake,” a source told the magazine. “Gavin worries that another breakup will cause a lot of emotional despair. So he wants to sit down with Gwen and Blake to discuss everything.”

Rossdale was married to Stefani for 13 years before the two announced they were splitting up back in 2015, just a few weeks after Shelton announced his own split from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert after four years of marriage. The two “Voice” coaches found comfort in one another on the set of the show as they coped with their respective marriages coming to an end, and by that fall, they had officially become a couple. They’ve been tabloid staples ever since, with various conflicting reports over the state of their relationship.

No reason was ever publicly stated as to why Shelton’s marriage came to an end, though reports did surface which claimed that Stefani and Rossdale’s marriage ended because she had discovered he’d been cheating on her with their nanny, Mindy Mann, for three years. Rossdale has never confirmed or denied the report, but has insisted that no matter what led to his marriage coming to an end, his primary focus has been on his kids, and he’s been sick of the drama that was constantly being put in the press.

“It’s like enough already. I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on. For me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them,” he told The Sunday Times last year. “That’s the driving force behind everything. You just have to... I don’t know. Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen. [My sons are] the guys—they’re my replacements. The better versions of me. I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that.”

As for Stefani and Shelton, things have not seemed to cool off in their romance, with Stefani sharing an Instagram photo of her beau holding a guitar earlier this month.

However, the source who claimed Rossdale wanted to sit down with them also maintained that the relationship is on the rocks, and a split announcement is imminent.

“It’s only a matter of time before [they] announce a split. At this point they’re just going through the motions.”
