It will be a day of gloating and negotiations as the residents of Port Charles reflect on the devious events that have unfolded. On the Tuesday, August 7 episode of “General Hospital,” Nelle will make matters worse as Jason tries to prove Carly’s innocence.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Carly (Laura Wright) tells Nelle (Chloe Lanier) she has messed with the wrong family. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Nelle taunts those around her. In the previous episode, Carly arrived at the police station to see Nelle and it appears she is ready to gloat.

However, she may want to tread carefully around the new mom, who plans on pushing her buttons. Although Carly is eager to rub her victory in Nelle’s face, she could use the conversation to her advantage. Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) made a quick exit from the interrogation room when she spotted Sonny (Maurice Benard) in the lobby, and there’s a chance she left the recorder running.

Nelle and Carly are bound to have a heated conversation that will bring out some harsh truths. Will Nelle dig herself into a deeper hole by bragging about how she intentionally drove her mother-in-law insane?

In the “General Hospital” promo video, Sam (Kelly Monaco) tells Michael (Chad Duell) he has to take a box to the police station. In the previous episode, Julian (William deVry) snuck into the Quartermaine mansion and placed the baby blanket in the nursery as a favor to Ava (Maura West).

Michael later went to pack up Jonah’s items in the nursery in order to gift them to his new cousin, Wiley, who is actually his son. While packing up the clothes, Michael went through the drawers and found the baby blanket that proves Carly didn’t push Nelle down the stairs.

Nelle may enjoy taunting those around her for the moment, but it looks like the Corinthos family will have the last laugh. While Michael plans to turn in the blanket to prove Carly’s innocence, Jason (Steve Burton) will be busy on the other side of town, working to get the authorities on his side.

“GH” spoilers reveal Jason meets with Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson). In the ABC promo video, Jason tells Margaux she has the chance to do what’s right. Sam previously gave Jason the consent form which gave Ferncliff employees permission to perform electroconvulsive therapy on Carly.

However, the date on the form was the same day Carly escaped from Ferncliff to stop Michael’s wedding. This means she was not on any medication and remembers that she never signed a form agreeing to the controversial procedure. Will Margaux use the evidence to clear Carly’s name or will she have Jason taken into custody?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
