'General Hospital' Spoilers: Will Esme's Plan To Escape Backfire And Threaten Her Pregnancy?

It's New Year's Eve in Port Charles, and Esme is planning on starting the New Year as a free woman, but on the Friday, Dec. 30 episode of "General Hospital," her plan may have dangerous consequences.

In the ABC promo video, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) stares at the Christmas tree as she reveals it won't be long before she is free. "GH" spoilers reveal Esme takes a big risk.

In the previous episode, Esme convinced Nikolas' (Marcus Coloma) guard to treat her to a candlelit dinner. Little did he know, Esme managed to sneak a match out of the box with plans to set her room on fire.

Esme believes putting herself and the baby in danger could secure her freedom or at least alert others that Nikolas is keeping her locked away at Wyndemere Castle.

It appears Esme will take a major risk once she lights the fire. Will Esme finally escape, or will her plan put her pregnancy in danger?

Elsewhere in the promo video for the ABC soap opera, Finn (Michael Easton) tells Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) that he will not tell anyone about their conversation. "General Hospital" spoilers say Liz makes a revelation to Finn.

Elizabeth previously ruined her relationship with Finn after she claimed she was pregnant with Nikolas' child.

Viewers are aware Liz lied to cover up the fact that Nikolas was holding Esme captive after he learned the young woman was pregnant with his child.

Elizabeth later came up with a new lie and began telling people she had a miscarriage. However, she hasn't shared the fib with Finn. It appears Finn will catch Liz drinking at the New Year's Eve party and confront her.

Will Liz lie to Finn again, or will she confess she has been helping Nikolas hold Esme captive?

Other "GH" spoilers tease Laura (Genie Francis) encourages Nikolas, and Britt's (Kelly Thiebaud) party is full of surprises.
