It will be a day of speculation for the residents of Port Charles as they realize not everything is what it seems. On the Thursday, August 23 episode of “General Hospital,” Jason will worry about Carly’s mental state as Kevin realizes the town is in danger.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Carly (Laura Wright) tells Jason (Steve Burton) that they know a bad situation can only get worse. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Jason’s concern for Carly intensifies.

Carly has been through a lot in the last few months. Not only did Nelle (Chloe Lanier) manage to manipulate her into thinking she was going insane, but the scheming young woman also framed her for attempted murder.

Although Carly was eventually able to prove her innocence thanks to some help from Jason, she was also forced to spend time at the infamous Ferncliff facility, and it looks like Jason believes his good friend hasn’t fully returned back to her old self following their escape.

While Carly was still a patient at Ferncliff, the person in the room next to her continuously sent her SOS messages. However, employees warned that her neighbor was rather dangerous and insisted she not communicate with the person on the other side of the wall.

Now that Carly is free, she just can’t seem to forget the patient who was begging for help. Will Jason fear Carly is still suffering from the damage Nelle caused or will he actually believe there is someone at Ferncliff that needs help?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) tells an orderly there is a very dangerous man loose in Port Charles. “GH” spoilers reveal Kevin seems distracted.

Viewers are aware the real Kevin has been committed to Ferncliff while his twin, Ryan, has assumed his identity. While Kevin tries to warn the staff about his brother, Ryan appears focused on something else, perhaps keeping his secret hidden.

After Carly was released from Ferncliff, Ryan, posing as Kevin, encouraged her to return to therapy, but she wasn’t interested due to the strong medication she was forced to take. Carly then mentioned she once hallucinated so badly she thought the patient in the other room was Kevin.

Will Ryan be able to continue fooling everyone about his identity or will Carly convince Jason to help her expose the truth?

“General Hospital” airs weekday 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
