It will be a day of guarding secrets in Port Charles, as residents attempt to protect themselves from being exposed. On the Thursday, July 12 episode of “General Hospital,” Michael will reach out for help against Nelle, as Valentin doubts Nina.

In the “General Hospital” promo, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) overhears Michael (Chad Duell) telling Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) he just wants to get something out of the way and believes it will be best if it happens sooner rather than later.

In the previous episode, Nelle was upset Michael wanted her to sign a prenup. Michael told Nelle the Quartermaines were protective of their assets and prenups were standard procedure for anyone who married into the family.

Although she wasn’t happy about it, Nelle eventually agreed to sign it so they could move forward with the wedding. However, Nelle doesn’t look thrilled while eavesdropping on Michael and Alexis’ conversation.

Michael has been trying to legally protect himself from Nelle since he is only marrying her as part of his plan to expose who she really is. If Nelle hears something she isn’t supposed to, like Michael’s next move to take her down, it could put his entire plan in jeopardy. Will Nelle discover Michael’s vengeful secret?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, Sam (Kelly Monaco) suspects Nina (Michelle Stafford) knows something about Peter (Wes Ramsey) and believes Curtis (Donnell Turner) feels the same way. Viewers are aware that Nina has been helping Liesl (Kathleen Gati) keep Peter hostage out of revenge for Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) death.

Although Nina had no idea her aunt planned on kidnapping Peter, she has been helping hide the secret while trying to keep him alive, despite Liesl’s desire to end his life. The secret has been weighing heavily on Nina and the effects of the stress have become noticeable.

While trying to save his marriage to Nina, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) has also been looking for Peter and finds it strange that the person he protected as a child vanished without at least telling him where he was headed.

Amid trying to woo Nina into giving him a second chance within the 30-day deadline she set before she would file for divorce, Valentin has noticed his wife has been behaving differently. “GH” spoilers reveal Valentin questions Nina’s story.

In the ABC promo, Nina tells Valentin he can’t go home. While it appears she attempts to give him a false reason, it doesn’t look like he’s going to believe her. Liesl has moved Peter to Spoon Island, which means if Valentin goes home, he could hear Peter screaming for help.

Will Nina finally tell her husband she and Liesel have been holding Peter captive, or will she use the state of their marriage to distract him from the truth?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
