It will be a day of persuasion for the residents of Port Charles as they try to convince those in doubt to trust questionable situations. On the Wednesday, July 18 episode of “General Hospital,” Nelle and Sonny begin to question Michael.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) asks Chase (Josh Swickard) if he thinks Michael (Chad Duell) is setting her up. After Carly (Laura Wright) stormed in on their wedding and tried to stop the nuptials, Nelle claimed she was suffering from stomach pains and was rushed to the hospital.

Once the baby was cleared, she and Michael decided to get married in her hospital room. After the impromptu ceremony, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) made a confession to her older brother that put his plan in danger.

Josslyn told Michael she saw Chase kiss Nelle ahead of the wedding, but Michael insisted he wasn’t worried, and told his sister to trust him because he had everything under control. However, he was unaware Nelle was listening close by.

“General Hospital” spoilers reveal Chase reassures Nelle. Chase has continuously professed his love for Nelle and begged her to leave Michael, but she still went ahead with the wedding. After overhearing Michael sound as if he doesn’t truly love her, Nelle is starting suspect her husband hasn’t been completely honest with her.

Will Chase be able to convince Nelle to trust Michael or is she actually manipulating both of them? Chase and Michael have been working together to take Nelle down, but at this point in their plan, Nelle may have overheard too many conversations to trust either of the men who claim they love her.

While Chase tries to persuade Nelle into believing everything is alright and get one step closer to his and Michael’s ultimate goal, she could be working on a grand exit that will leave both men in danger.

Meanwhile, Michael will be getting the third degree from his father, who is tired of being left in the dark. In the ABC promo video, Sonny (Maurice Benard) tells Michael it’s time for him to share his plan to take down Nelle. Since Michael declared he would get his revenge against Nelle, Sonny has been giving his son the benefit of the doubt that he actually knows what he’s doing.

However, Sonny is starting to believe Michael is taking things too far and wants more information about his scheme before the determined young man gets himself hurt. Will Michael convince his father he’s in control or will Sonny try to make Michael abort his mission?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
