Five new characters are reportedly arriving in "Genshin Impact" Update 1.7, according to the latest online leaks.
Storyteller Long, from the hit gacha game's Chinese community, said miHoYo would introduce five new characters in the next patch. This includes Ayaka, Yoimiya, Eletro Traveler, Sayu and another 4-star character.
The original video has been taken down from Bilibili website, fueling speculations that the leak might be genuine. Interestingly, a video made by another insider, who commented on "Genshin Impact" leaks, confirmed that most of the characters suggested by Storyteller Long will arrive in the game soon. Additionally, the insider revealed in a video that the other unnamed 4-star character is Tohma.
Tohma reportedly will be a 4-star Pyro character that wields a polearm. In a leaked render, "Genshin Impact" insider lumie_lumie shared that Tohma has ear-length blonde hair. The rumored character also sports a headpiece that peeks through his hair and looks like devil horns.
The insiders added that Ayaka will also come in the next "Genshin Impact" update. Fans have been seeing a lot of information about Ayaka of the Kamisato House over the past months since she is one of the playable characters in the game's beta. Chinese gaming studio miHoYo also released several images and trailers showcasing Ayaka. Details about her skills and constellations are also available in Honey Hunter.
Yoimiya, however, is still a mystery. Insiders have not yet leaked any renders of the rumored character and her skills and abilities are still unknown. Sayu is rumored to be a 4-star character wielding a Claymore. She reportedly uses Anemo for her power. Based on earlier renders, Sayu is a short young girl garbing a raccoon costume.
The addition of five new characters in one patch seems like an interesting new thing in "Genshin Impact." Since these details are not official, fans should temper their expectations about the upcoming update. "Genshin Impact" Update 1.6 is scheduled to roll out Wednesday. The patch promises to introduce more new characters, artifact sets and other exciting activities for players.
