Several "Genshin Impact" players have uncovered a new mechanic that enables them to use Plunging Attacks with other combos without the need to jump from a higher position. Some Chinese players call the new combo the Dragon Strike technique, which is mainly doable with Claymore-wielding characters like Razor. Here are some tips and tricks on how to trigger and execute the new Dragon Strike technique perfectly.
The new Dragon Strike technique in "Genshin Impact" is possible because of the game's hitlag mechanic. Each time a character hits an enemy, a small slow down called hitlag happens. Players can use this interval for dashing, jumping and performing a Plunging Attack. This attack has high damage modifiers, and executing them in succession without prior elevation is extremely useful.
First, players need to have two Anemo characters in the party to trigger the Anemo Resonance bonus, which increases the in-game character's movement speed. Players can also trigger Diona's shield using her Elemental Skill to obtain the needed speed. Finally, look for a Claymore character. Players could pick Diluc or Razor.
With Diona's shield triggered, a Claymore character and two Anemo characters in the party, "Genshin Impact" players will be able to execute the Dragon Strike technique perfectly. Once all of these conditions are met, players need to utilize the game's hitlag mechanic. They must dash and jump immediately during the hitlag.
Some players are having a hard time executing the Dragon Strike technique perfectly. This is because it is almost impossible to perform if the player is lagging. Players can resolve this by doing some simple steps.
They can maximize their FPS by lowering the graphics setting of "Genshin Impact." Aside from this, they must also minimize their ping before attempting to perform the new technique. Content creator TenTen shared a video on YouTube showing how to execute the Dragon Strike technique perfectly.
"Genshin Impact" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android devices. The game is currently in development for PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
