'Genshin Impact' Guide: Here's How To Increase CRIT Rate Quickly
KEY POINTS
- CRIT Rate is difficult to increase because of "Genshin Impact's" RNG mechanics
- Focusing on getting a CRIT Rate circlet is the most ideal way to gain crit chance
- Obtaining a good weapon with CRIT Rate stats or passives is also a great idea
Critical hit rate is one of the most sought-after damage stats in “Genshin Impact” along with critical hit damage. Both of these stats combined can lead to insane damage numbers due to their multiplicative nature and their interaction with elemental combos.
However, increasing one’s CRIT Rate can be a pain. There are some "Genshin Impact" weapons like the three-star Harbinger of Dawn that grants passive critical hit chance when the user's HP is above 90%, but most of the time, players will have to rely on artifacts for a permanent boost to their CRIT Rate.
The trouble with "Genshin Impact's" artifacts is their RNG nature. Not only will players have to deal with the randomness of farming for a CRIT artifact, but they’ll also have to deal with the dice roll involved when leveling up said artifact.
For those who want to get as much CRIT Rate as possible without grinding for that perfectly rolled artifact, here are some alternatives to consider:
Focus on the main stat
Players who are looking to build CRIT Rate relatively quickly should focus on farming artifacts with CRIT Rate as its main stat. This guarantees that players will get a hefty chunk of crit chance when it reaches max level without gambling on any of the substats.
Circlet artifacts are the only ones that can roll a CRIT Rate main stat, so be on the lookout for those.
Use Food Buffs
Eating food that grants increased CRIT Rate not only provides quick and easy critical hit chance buffs, but it will also make farming Domains easier. Food buffs don’t last very long, so they’re best used for short runs.
Food items like the Adeptus’ Temptation, Jade Parcels and Pile ‘Em Up pancakes can grant varying degrees of CRIT Rate, but players will have to cook these to obtain them. One easy and effortless option is to buy Berry & Mint Bursts from Diluc’s bar, the Angel’s Share, in Mondstadt. The bartender Charles will have two of these drinks for sale per day.
Use certain weapons
Some weapons in “Genshin Impact” grant increased CRIT Rate either from their passive effect or as a secondary stat. The Deathmatch spear, for example, has CRIT Rate on its secondary stat slot while the new Alley Flash sword grants increased critical hit rates from its secondary slot and its passive effect.
Other weapons include the Primordial Jade Winged Spear, the Skyward Harp, White Tassel and the Black Sword.
