George Clooney and Amal Clooney looked chic as they headed out for dinner with their family and friends this week, a report says.
The "Ocean's Eleven" star and the human rights lawyer were photographed in their date-night looks as they boarded a speedboat to head to dinner in Lake Como, Italy, Entertainment Tonight reported. Clooney owns an 18th-century villa in the area.
Clooney and Amal were joined by her sister Tala Alamuddin and her husband and their mother, Baria Alamuddin, at the restaurant of Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
For the gathering, Amal, 43, wore a white high-low dress with a ruffled hemline, which she paired with strappy heels and a clutch. Meanwhile, Clooney donned a gray suit and a white button-up shirt for their night out.
The Clooneys — who wed in 2014 and share 4-year-old twins Alexander and Ella — “didn’t spend time in Lake Como last year,” an unnamed source told People in June.
“It’s the first time in two years that they are back in Italy. They seem thrilled to be back. Friends that they didn’t see during the pandemic are very excited that they are back,” the insider continued.
Clooney and Amal have been keeping low profiles these days and only make work-related appearances. In April, he talked about their philanthropic work and how he and his wife teach their kids to give back.
"You try [to instill charitable values]. They’re not quite four yet, so they don't [understand]," Clooney told ET. "My kids will always say, they'll pick up a toy and they’ll go, 'This is for the poor people.' And I go, 'Good. OK, so let's put it in the basket and we'll take it to the poor people.' And then there's this shock on their face when reality hits."
According to Clooney, his parents "always taught me that the best things you could do [is] challenge people in power and look out for people who aren't in power and those kinds of things."
Clooney also gushed over Amal in another interview with the outlet in December 2020. "It is probably best that I did it when I met my wife," he said of having kids. "She is gorgeous and funny and all of the things... She is the smartest person in every room she walks in. I am always very proud to be standing next to her."
Clooney admitted during an earlier interview that he thought he would never have his own family after his divorce from first wife Talia Balsam. However, things changed when he met Amal.
"There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me. It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me," Clooney said on "CBS Sunday Morning."
