George Clooney traveled in style on Tuesday, arriving in Venice by boat with a small group of friends that included Cindy Crawford.
Clooney, 50, is gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming film The Ides of March at the 2011 Venice Film Festival. The actor was also joined on his boat by Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber.
The group is coming off a relaxing weekend at Clooney's famous Lake Como villa in Italy, where the actor entertained guests that included Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel wood, who also star in The Ides of March. Clooney and friends sipped on cocktails and took in the Italian scenery during the weekend retreat, according to People magazine.
The Ides of March, which Clooney also directed, is set to open the 68th annual Venice Film Festival on Wednesday. Ryan Gosling, Madonna, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kate Winslet and Jude Law are all expected to attend.
