George Clooney's Wife Amal Clooney Charms Prince Charles In Gorgeous White Gown [PHOTOS]
George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, recently reunited with a member of the British royal family.
On Tuesday, the Clooneys attended a dinner hosted by Prince Charles to celebrate his youth charity, Prince's Trust, People reported. The charity often teams up with ambassadors such as Idris Elba and Tom Hardy to help raise awareness for its work.
During the event, Amal looked stunning in a flowing white silk dress as she posed for photos with her actor husband. Her gown featured intricate draping detail and an asymmetrical cape sleeve on her right arm. The human rights lawyer accessorized her gorgeous ensemble with a metallic box clutch and diamond earrings. She also wore bright lipstick for a pop of color.
George also kept it classic, looking dapper in a double-breasted black tuxedo. He sneaked in some subtle PDA during the dinner, putting an arm around his wife's waist as they posed for snaps.
During the event, Amal was seen shaking hands with Prince Charles. George and his wife also chatted and shared a laugh with the heir to the throne while Prince Charles carried a drink in his hand.
Aside from the Clooneys, other celebrities who attended the dinner included Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Luke Evans, Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton.
While their presence at Prince Charles' dinner may come as a surprise to some, Amal and George actually have close ties with the royal family. George is a friend of Prince Harry, while Amal has been a pal of Meghan Markle for a while now. The couple also attended Prince Harry and Markle's extravagant royal wedding in 2018.
In fact, Amal joined Markle and their other friends in New York City for the Duchess of Sussex's lavish baby shower last month. Mrs. Clooney reportedly paid for Markle's flight back to the U.K. in a private jet, which was estimated to have cost $125,000, according to Daily Mail.
Other big names who attended Markle's baby shower included Gayle King, her former "Suits" co-star Abigail Spencer, makeup artist Daniel Martin, designer Misha Nonoo, stylist Jessica Mulroney and Serena Williams, along with the duchess' university pals. The tennis champ reportedly footed the bill for the $75,000-a-night penthouse suite in The Mark Hotel where the event was held.
