‘Ghosted’ Episode 9 Sneak Peek: Lafrey Sends Annie Out With Max, Leroy

Annie is tagging along on Max and Leroy’s next case in Season 1, episode 9 of “Ghosted.”

In a sneak peek from the upcoming episode of the Fox series, Captain Lafrey (Ally Walker) gathers up the team to reveal their next case. “[In] the Gila Forest in New Mexico, a hiker claimed that her friend was snatched off the ground and ripped into the woods by something,” Lafrey says.

“Annie (Amber Stevens West) has been following the disappearances in the Gila for quite some time,” continues Lafrey. “And even though there have been no confirmed sightings and no clear indication of what exactly is in those woods, she has obviously given it a name.”

“The Gila Snatcher,” Annie says. “I was calling it the Snatch Monster but I changed that for obvious reasons.”

Since Annie is an expert on the Gila Monster, Max (Adam Scott) asks Lafrey if he and Leroy (Craig Robinson) can take Annie with them to investigate. Lafrey quickly agrees, much to Max and Annie’s delight.

While Leroy doesn’t utter a word about Annie joining them on the field, he appears to suspect that Max has other reasons why he likes Annie to tag along on the case. Leroy has noticed a spark between Max and Annie since they started working together at the Bureau Underground, so Leroy might be thinking that Max’s request to have Annie join them on the investigation has some romantic undertones.

Although Annie goes out to assist Max and Leroy, catching the Gila Snatcher won’t be easy. According to the synopsis for the episode, Max’s survival skills are put to the test when he, Leroy, and Annie lose their way in the woods.

Meanwhile, back at the Bureau Underground, Barry (Adeel Akhtar) proves himself an asset in solving Captain Lafrey’s dating struggles.

Edward Kerr, who is best known for his role as Ted Wilson on Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars,” is set to guest star in the episode. The 51-year-old actor also appeared on WB’s “What I Like About You,” NBC’s “Three Sisters” and “SeaQuest DSV.”
