Gigi Hadid Not Joining 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: 'I'm So Bummed'

Gigi Hadid is skipping this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Gigi will not walk the runway for the upcoming VS fashion show. The model took to Twitter on Thursday to announce her absence in the upcoming big event.

"I'm so bummed I won't be able to make it to China this year," Gigi wrote. "Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year! :) x"

The 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be held in Shanghai, China on Nov. 20. And while Gigi can't make it, her younger sister, Bella Hadid, will be there.

Gigi not making it in the upcoming fashion show was a surprise to those who have been following her because they know how much she loves it. In fact, in August, she announced on Instagram that she is invited to the next show again. She expressed her joy by sharing a clip of her when she joined the last fashion show.

Gigi loves Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, in fact, she considered it a "dream come true" to be part of it. "Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show !!! " she wrote in the caption. She also thanked her friends for the said "unforgettable experience."

According to Us Weekly, there are rumors that Gigi's Visa was denied by the Chinese government following her controversial comments about Asians last year. Gigi reportedly made a statement mocking the Asians.

The publication noted that in February, Gigi posted a clip on Instagram where she held up a chocolate dessert shaped like a sumo warrior's face. Fans called her attention for allegedly making of Asians. However, her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, who is part Asian, assured fans that Gigi was just misunderstood. "Trust me … she likes Asians," the former One Direction singer said.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Gigi's sister, Bella, is seeing her ex The Weeknd again after his split from Selena Gomez. "He didn't love that [Selena] and Justin [Bieber] started hanging out again, and he was always a bit jealous of him," a source told Entertainment Tonight.
