Gigi Hadid's Mother Yolanda Foster Confirms Model Daughter's Pregnancy: 'We Are Thrilled'

Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda Foster has confirmed that Gigi is pregnant with Zayn Malik’s child after a plethora of reports claimed that the couple is expecting their first baby together. Although the couple has yet to confirm the news themselves, the supermodel’s mother is already excited for the arrival of their new family member.

In an interview with Dutch talk show “RTL Boulevard,” the 56-year-old TV personality confirmed Gigi’s pregnancy and noted that the whole family is quite excited to welcome the new member. It will be the first grandchild for the reality TV star and former model.

The media outlet also reported that Gigi and Zayn are expecting their first child to arrive in September 2020.

“It is going well, but we are still in shock that our little secret has been leaked to the press. Of course we are thrilled. I cannot wait to be a grandmother,” Foster said.

Foster lost her mother Ans Van Den Herik to cancer in August of last year. The latter was 78 at the time of her death. She believes that this is the beauty of life because one soul has left the family recently and another one is joining them soon.

“But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel blessed,” Foster said.

The confirmation comes a couple of days after TMZ exclusively reported that the former Victoria’s Secret Angel is 20 weeks pregnant, and the baby is estimated to arrive in early September. Meanwhile, The Sun claimed that Gigi has been hiding her baby bump for the last few months by donning more baggy outfits, starting in February.

The duo started their relationship in 2015 when the “Pillowtalk” hitmaker saw Gigi walking the runway for Victoria’s Secret. Both celebrities were dating other people before becoming a couple. Hadid dated Joe Jonas for more than five months while Malik dated and was even engaged to “Little Mix” member Perrie Edwards.

However, much to the dismay of fans, Hadid and Malik had an amicable breakup in March 2018. It was short-lived because the next month they were spotted together and confirmed once again that they were back to exclusively dating each other. They went on to break up once more in January 2019 after spending “months apart” and then almost immediately rekindled their romance in March 2019.
