‘Gilmore Girls’ Fans Think Lorelai Is Pregnant After Seeing The Revival Trailer

It’s possible that “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will give fans everything they’ve ever wanted, and that might include a baby. The first trailer for the Netflix revival has caused quite a bit of speculation.

The promo video shows off things that haven’t changed: Stars Hollow, the Gilmore House, Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelei’s (Lauren Graham) banter. However, the editors may have snuck in a huge change that no one even noticed: a baby bump. Lorelai’s stomach is well-covered in one scene (seen in the video above), but her shirt says “I’m with human.” It certainly got fans excited for the possibility of a baby Gilmore girl (or boy).

It might not mean “with child,” though. The Rachel Antonoff sweatshirt is not a maternity shirt (though it certainly could be used to hide a small bump). In fact, there is a small arrow pointing to the side underneath, indicating that it’s a play on “I’m with stupid” shirts.

It’s also worth noting that Lorelai doesn’t have a ring on her left hand. Obviously, she doesn’t need to be married to have a baby, but that means we still aren’t sure where Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai stand. Are they dating? Married? Friends?

When Patterson chatted with International Business Times earlier this year, he wouldn’t reveal Luke and Lorelai’s relationship status. However, he is rooting for them to work out.

“Of course I want that to happen,” Patterson said of a Luke and Lorelai wedding. “That’s the love letter we want to give to the fans because that’s one of the prominent themes throughout the show — this romance. So we’ll see. Fingers crossed.”

Luckily, fans finally know when they’ll discover what happens to Luke and Lorelai. It was announced Wednesday that “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will be released on Netflix Nov. 25.
