‘Gingerbread Miracle’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “Gingerbread Miracle.” The film, starring Merritt Patterson and Jon Ecker, premieres Friday night.
The film will be a special treat for Hallmark fans who aren’t familiar with Ecker, who is making his debut on Hallmark in this film. Previous roles include Greg Grainger on “Chicago Fire,” Max on “Firefly Lane” and El Guero on “Queen of the South.”
Fans will certainly recognize Patterson, as she has been a staple on Hallmark, especially for Christmas movies, the last few years. Her previous credits include “A Royal Winter,” “Bad Date Chronicles,” “The Christmas Cottage,” “Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New,” “Christmas at the Palace,” “Forever in My Heart,” “Picture A Perfect Christmas” and “Chateau Christmas.”
So what will happen in this film? Let’s find out.
“Maya (Patterson) is a freelance attorney who, after a minor setback, has been living in the apartment above her parents’ garage and using the Casillas Panadería as her unofficial office for the past couple of years,” a synopsis reads. “The Mexican bakery has held a warm spot in her heart ever since she worked there as a teenager alongside her high school crush, Alejandro ‘Alex’ Casillas (Ecker), the handsome nephew of the owner.”
However, the time has come for Alex’s uncle to sell the bakery, something he wants Maya to help with. That, of course, brings her back in the path of the man she once loved.
“Alex decides to return home to celebrate one last Christmas in the bakery and help Maya find a buyer for the bakery, whether or not she actually wants his help,” the synopsis reads.
Will working with Alex again make Maya’s one-time Christmas wish come true?
“Gingerbread Miracle” airs Friday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
