Gingerbread-run Samsung Galaxy S2 Arriving in US on July 24 via Verizon, AT&T or Sprint?
New rumors about the awaited Samsung Galaxy S2’s release in the US have risen which suggested that the smartphone is set to hit the US market on July 24. The carrier is still uncertain.
Previously, a listing that appeared briefly on Best Buy Canada suggested that mobile provider Bell is set to launch the anticipated Samsung smartphone in Canada on July 21, according to an Engadget report. Now the smartphone is expected to be available in the US from July 24.
A Sprint employee, who leaked its release date in June, said that the device will be available from July 24 in the US to Headline News’ Steve Oaks. However, there has been no word from either the manufacturer or any of the expected carriers (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-mobile), the Online Social Media reported.
The 4.3-inch Samsung Galaxy S2, which sold about 3 million units worldwide, comes with TouchWhiz UI 4.0 and a super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen, has a dedicated 8MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash rear and a 2MP front facing camera. The smartphone runs on Android 2.3 or Gingerbread juice and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos chipset.
